Be Involved

HOPE Cape Town Volunteers

Over the years the help of countless local and international volunteers has helped HOPE Cape Town grow and run effective programs by supporting our dedicated staff. Volunteers not only help us make a difference in the lives of those who benefit from the programs, they also learn something about themselves and can even further their studies in the specific areas of focus HOPE Cape Town is active in.

Volunteers are required to have no specific skills, other than a desire to learn and a willingness to help however they can.

Applicants, both locally and internationally, must motivate why and how they feel they can help make a difference in underprivileged communities around Cape Town and should be willing to commit themselves for a minimum of three months.

The various areas that a volunteer can expect to become involved in can include:

As volunteer places are highly sought after and usually only two volunteers can be taken at any one time, it is advisable to apply a year in advance. Unfortunately HOPE Cape Town cannot provide transport, and no remuneration can be paid to volunteers. Accommodation can be discussed, dependent on the volunteer position.
