OUR STORY

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

At the outset of a project, HOPE Cape Town undertakes a Baseline Study covering the operational area and all areas covered by the project. It also develops a set of indicators for monitoring and measuring both quantitative and qualitative change for each outcome area throughout the lifespan of the project.

These are captured and assessed via monthly reports, quarterly reviews of activities and outputs, and Annual Strategic Planning Meeting.

A Mid-Term Evaluation is implemented mid-way through the project and External Final Evaluation in the last quarter of long-term projects. This includes an evaluation of methodologies used and education and training modules and curriculum. Lessons learnt throughout the lifespan of the project are integrated into ongoing planning and implementation of the project.
